About the Founder
Obi Emeka Chukwudi is a renowned Youth Leader, Businessman and Entrepreneur, whose passion cut across various fields of endeavors including Surveying, Agriculture and Textile, Real Estate, and Sport.
He is the founder and owner of Apex Survey Services, a leading company in land and property survey, and real estate business based in Anambra State that has become synonymous with professionalism in Surveying.
His Apex Clothing Limited, is also a brand name in Awka, Anambra State Capital selling all kinds of unisex wears.
The Anambra State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Obi, Emeka Chukwudi is a capacity youth leader and mobilizer, with visible accomplishments in the area of youth empowerment and mobilization.
Early Life & Education
Born on 29th February, in Mgbakwu community in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. Mr. Emeka’s early life was marked by a keen interest in real estate, building and surveying activities. This background, coupled with his innovative mindset, would later drive his entrepreneurial ventures.
He kick-started his tertiary education with a diploma in Marketing at Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
He later proceeded to do his first degree in Surveying and Geoinformatics (B.Sc) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
After that, he went for Masters in Remote Sensing and GIS at Nnamdi Azikiwe University. Presently, Mr Emeka is doing Ph.D in Remote sensing and GIS at Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
Comrade Obi has applied through Direct Entry, to study Civil Engineering at the Enugu State University of Technology, ESUT and currently awaits admission offer.
Youth Activities
In June 2022, Comrade Obi was elected as the Anambra State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), in a keenly-contested election.
Ever since, he has undertaken numerous activities aimed at improving the lot of Anambra youths, through the creative economy sector and partnerships with the private sectors in the area of real estate.
As the Chairman of Anambra NYCN, Comrade Obi also facilitated uncountably impactful programs with the State Government, that engaged the youths positively. Because of his benevolence and tremendous achievements in less than two years in office, he has been honoured with numerous awards raging from VYOs, State and National.
Positions Held
From his undergraduate days, Comrade Obi has held various elective and appointive positions, through which he had served humanity meritoriously.
Some of these positions include –
- Public Relations Officer, P.R.O, Nigeria Institution of Surveying Students, NISS Nnamdi Azikiwe University, NAU (elective).
- SUG Presidential Candidate, NAU- Awka.
- Secretary, Man O’ War Unity Command, Awka.
- Treasurer, African Youth Development Commission, AYDC, Anambra State Chapter.
- Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Anambra State Chapter.(till date).
He is also a Professional Member of the following associations; Member, Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (MNIS) Member, Young Surveyors Network (MYSN)
Life As An Entrepreneur
As an entrepreneur, Comrade Obi Emeka had established a string of businesses and gainfully employed many. Looking ahead, Comrade Obi envisions to take a grassroots football club he had established- the Game Changer Football Club, to the next level. He is particularly interested in breeding the next generation of footballers from the state of Anambra and this he has started accomplishing with open trials for budding talents.
He has also bagged a Level 1 Diploma on F course and E course from the Football Coaches Association of African Nations (FCAAN), pursuant to the Football Club initiative.
The future is definitely bright for Comrade Obi, whose heart of gold and exemplary positive lifestyle has continued to pave ways for him.
